Price-chops have become an endangered species in Atlanta’s smoking-hot intown neighborhoods. At least for listings that aren’t delusional to begin with.
But that rare, exotic discount bird came chirping this week in Ormewood Park, where this Craftsman-style, quad-level property from the late aughts was snipped by $26,000, down to $599,000.
With four bedrooms and about 3,500 square feet, it stands on Glenwood Avenue, a few blocks from the future Beltline Southside Trail and the existing Glenwood Park retail and restaurant hub.
Built in 2007, it’s had a few updates since. They include library built-ins, another bathroom (totaling three and 1⁄2 now), and presumably that sweet treehouse.
The third-level media room appears huge, the porch homey, and the carpet thick. Interestingly, per the listing, an included perk is a membership to the Glenwood Park Pool, worth $4,000 and the subject of a years-long waiting list.
The shared driveway situation doesn’t allow for much neighborly separation here, but on the plus side, the property chalks an O4W-worthy WalkScore of 78.
