It's December 18, and Mayor Reed continues to insist that the streetcar will be open for business by "midnight, December 31" at the latest. The $98 million system was originally supposed to open in April 2013 and has been pushed back time and time again. The AJC reported that the last delay, in November, came when the Federal Transit Administration voiced concerns about safety, citing inadequate signage and pavement markings. [AJC - Paywall]
