Despite its prime location across from the Fox Theatre, the office building at 715 Peachtree has been vacant for months. Fortunately, the bland but centrally located 10-story tower that once housed credit processing for Bank of America could soon be transformed into something a bit more interesting. According to BisNow, the 351,613-square-foot building is under contract for $50 million by Carter. Rumors have swirled about what the Atlanta-based developer (1100 Peachtree, Campanile, The Place on Ponce in Decatur, Lindbergh Center) plans to do with the space. There has been talk of a failed plan to create a tech workspace with WeWork, ground floor restaurants and mixed-use options.
The building has parking with covered access to the building, skyline views of Midtown and downtown and about 40,000-square-feet of raised floor data center space.
