As we all know, metro Atlantans have been moving back to the inner city the last few years. And while city living for many means downsizing to a high-rise condo or apartment — it seems a new one is announced every day — Atlanta magazine highlights the trend of townhome living, which has enjoyed a major renaissance in recent years. Not limited to one part of the city, townhomes have made it big throughout the metro. There are four townhouse projects on a short stretch of Peachtree Road in Buckhead and Brookhaven, a row in Oakhurst didn't last long on the market, and the urban-style townhouse trend has even extended to the suburbs. The first apartments in the city were actually townhouses, so this may just be a journey coming full-circle.
