New Life for Foreclosed Condo Project on the Beltline

Creative Loafing has an excellent piece detailing Atlanta Beltline, Inc.'s recent purchase of the failed Triumph Lofts condominium project on Memorial Drive in Reynoldstown, which will be converted into affordable housing. We got a look at this project some years ago, and its merits were numerous, starting with the fact it was a re-purposed old motorcycle parts warehouse (recycling: good; recycling a building: really good). More than a few folks hope this will restart larger efforts to revitalize the Memorial Drive corridor on the whole. Looks like the Beltline could be catalyst to convert the area from a semi-industrial no-man's land to a vibrant intown community. [Creative Loafing]
