Arthur Blank is known for many things...starting a little home improvement company, owning and directing the resurgence of a certain hometown NFL franchise (this season's been a little rough, but we're not giving up yet), and philanthropy of all stripes. But you might not know that Mr. Blank and his family were the first donors to the Atlanta Beltline, and have donated some $50 million to environmental causes over the years. Last night the Georgia Conservancy honored the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation with its Distinguished Conservationist Award. Here's to Atlantans taking care of Atlanta. [Atlanta Business Chronicle]
