Airport Concessions Bids: Take Two

As you may recall, the summer was filled with talk of the bidding process (and for the bidding companies, harried scrambling to complete their bid packages) for the new contracts to run the very lucrative concessions businesses at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Then just as bids were due, the City abruptly announced everyone had to start over because some of the packages were deemed "non-responsive." The Saporta Report published an update on the process as the new deadline approaches; apparently, city officials took issue with the way some of the information was presented, resulting in the clarifications posted at the end. This whole thing smells a little stinky, but whatever...let's just hope they opt for new food concepts more in the spirit of One Flew South than Chili's To Go.
