HOT Lanes Still Making People Angry

Neither the passage of time nor price cuts seem to have placated folks upset about the advent of the HOT lanes on I-85 on the north side of town. While originally touted as a traffic-relief measure, it seems that taking the HOV lane away and replacing it with a paid-access high speed lane (to be fair, it is still free for motorcycles, alternative fuel vehicles and cars with 3 or more passengers) has made traffic worse, according to people that regularly drive the stretch of highway. There's a town hall meeting tonight to discuss the issue in Buford if you feel the need to weigh in. [Atlanta Business Chronicle]
