Momentum Builds for Dunwoody Parks

As the Dunwoody Parks Drama comes to its suspenseful conclusion on Election Day, we get word that the erstwhile northern suburb hopes to build a sizable sports complex on Peachtree Industrial Road if the parks referendum is successful. Apparently, the city will purchase 42 acres from developer Cortland Partners and tear down a couple of apartment complexes to construct the site. As you may recall, the City of Dunwoody is preparing to vote on a bond issuance to build new parks, but there has been controversy. We wish Dunwoody park backers well, but we're most concerned with another crucial vote coming on November 8. Hint: it involves booze. [Reporter Newspapers]
