Amtrak Station on Peachtree Among "Places in Peril"

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation just released its annual 'Places in Peril' list and a site that will be familiar to many Atlantans from their day-to-day travels is on the list. Legendary Atlanta architect Neel Reid designed the former Peachtree Station, which was built in 1917 (and is now leased by Amtrak). The GTHP cites neglect and abandonment as the biggest risks to the building, since Amtrak is known to desire to relocate.
