On the heels of our look at MARTA and the neighborhood's efforts to solve the traffic issues plaguing the Emory University area, the Saporta Report has an excellent piece on some of the political dynamics of the issue. As the sausage is made on finalizing a project list, it looks like Dekalb County CEO Burrell Ellis will push to leave the Clifton Road Corridor transit line's funding under the bill intact, and seek to shift funds from a road project in Sandy Springs to pay for rail south of I-20.
