If you have a house you've been unsuccessfully trying to sell, price may be your issue...it's not high enough. TrendGraphix and Harry Norman are out with some pretty astounding numbers today on luxury home sales in Atlanta. As the rest of the housing market languishes somewhere in between rotting and rancid, sales of homes in Buckhead with prices in excess of $1 million are up 62% year-to-year looking at the periods of January-August of 2010 and 2011. If you look at the entire 6-county metro area, sales of million dollar cribs are only up 19% over the same period. But considering the depressing nature of most housing statistics these days, this is still pretty fricking amazing.
