4 Beds, 3 Baths, Brown Shingles, Good Schools, Proximity to Purveyor of Polarizing Biscuits for $549,000

Today we travel over to the east side and drop in on Lake Claire, a lovely neighborhood one could be forgiven for mistaking for Candler Park, given the proximity and blurred boundaries of the neighboring 'hoods. And while we're not aware of an actual lake of noticeable size in the area, there are some lovely parks. This purty, brown-shingled renovation is just down the street from some cool local retail, Fellini's/La Fonda, the original Flying Biscuit (please no comment wars on their biscuits...they're different, alright?) as well as the Candler Park Market and its awesome wine and beer selection. You're also just a quick bike ride to a MARTA stop (Edgewood-Candler Park), so big lifestyle points here. Great schools, too. The house itself has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (including a really nice master one with a lovely soaking tub as well as a shower with a bench for, well, you know). The kitchen isn't quite as tricked-out as a hardcore foodie might hope, but overall, a quality 4/3 renovation in Lake Claire for $549,000 seems like a pretty good deal.
