Atlanta Becoming Crap TV Capital

New, 2 comments

Creative Loafing has surveyed the production landscape of ATLwood and compiled a list of all the reality TV now being produced in and around Atlanta. To be fair, some of the stuff isn't total garbage. In fact, some shows (like the homicide investigation procedural 'The First 48' starring the Dekalb Police Department) threaten to be more interesting than their big-budget, scripted siblings on network TV. More importantly, in spite of technology, TV and film production are still a rather labor-intensive business, which means work for Atlanta citizens. But the brain-rotting aspects of some of the shows cannot be denied. And does anyone in Atlanta feel like the city is being done any favors as regard to its image by the "Real Housewives of Atlanta?"
