Originally settled by freed slaves who worked for the railroad, Reynoldstown is tucked in between Cabbagetown and Edgewood just north of Memorial Drive. Though the neighborhood is transitional, it's staging something of a comeback given its affordability and proximity to Inman Park and downtown. The fact that the Beltline is planned to come right through the neighborhood should sustain that trend. So here is an opportunity to get in early (and cheap) with a neat little 3 bed, 3 bath new construction house with a full basement on Kenyon Street for $204,000. Though the pictures leave something to be desired, the broker babble sketches a picture of a modern, energy efficient new place with details like 9+ foot ceilings and hardwood floors. Even outer ring suburbs would have a hard time competing with that value proposition...save yourself the commute (MARTA's nearby) and bring it in town!
