Atlanta in the New Yawk Times

The old grey lady shined her light on little old Atlanta this weekend with a piece detailing the ATL's ascendance to "an epicenter of the black glitterati." The popularity of Atlanta as a place to live (at least part-time) with black celebrities and entertainers is the focus of the piece, but the State of Georgia's emergence as a film and television production hub also gets some attention. In a semi-related story in Creative Loafing a couple of weeks ago, Atlanta has been downgraded to a dwarf planet in the hip-hop galaxy, acccording to a recent Spin magazine piece. Oh well. [NYT]
