TSPOST is taking a breather from the headlines while the education SPLOST and Sunday alcohol sales are voted upon today. But the Marietta Daily Journal is reporting that an American company based in Powder Springs with MAGLEV technology is pushing to build magnetic rail on a Kennesaw State University-to-Cumberland-to-Perimeter path. American Maglev Technologies claims that they can build a cheaper, more energy efficient and easier to maintain rail line. Curbed Atlanta has not yet been invited, but we'll be pursuing this story with great interest. [Marietta Daily Journal]
