Many local governments find themselves in cash-strapped positions these days. Thanks to the enterprising nature of Cobb County government, such challenges are not getting in the way of delivering Cobb senior citizens their new wellness center. Though folks are still welcome to contribute to the civic project the old fashioned way (like buying a $30 brick) the naming rights for the entire Cobb County Senior Wellness Center are available for $125k. While this pales in comparison to the $182 million Phillips is paying for rights to its eponymous arena downtown, the two places will have some similarities. Like the fact neither will be mentioned in television broadcasts for NHL hockey games (rim shot).
