"California" Style in Peachtree Corners/Dunwoody With Highlights From Decades Past

New, 1 comment

Today we take a drive out into the suburbs to see what we can see. We stumble upon this listing in Lockridge Forest, the neighborhood split between Dekalb and Gwinnett counties in the Peachtree Corners/Dunwoody/Norcross area. Lockridge is showing its age a bit (most of the homes were built in the late 1960's / early 1970's), as is this house. But it's to be expected when you're looking at a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house in a swim and tennis neighborhood with a list price of $219,000. The broker babble makes the "California style" call, which is funny, because the exterior did sort of remind us of the Brady Bunch house. The interiors display a melange of styles that trace the past three decades (our personal favorite: the blue striped walls likely resulting from a burst of 90's redecorating). Design-minded folks out there: what would it take to bring this place into the 21st century?
