ATL History Center Picks An Architect

The Atlanta History Center decided to go out of town with their selection of an architect for the massive renovation of the campus' main building (pictured). As you may recall, last week the entity to which the Swan Coach House officially belongs announced that it was launching a $27.4 million capital campaign to renovate the unremarkable facade of the actual Atlanta History Center and named a group of design finalists that included Atlanta firm Stanley Beaman & Sears among others. As it turns out, New York/L.A.-based Pfeiffer Partners Architects got the nod. [Saporta Report]
