Though the exterior still seems pretty hopeless, our hats are off to the owners of the Decatur Hotel & Conference Center for the design of their planned renovation, shown in renderings here. Though the Four Seasons of the world don't need to worry quite yet, we are definitely in favor of accessibly modern interior renovations of aged Holiday Inns, as we'll no doubt find ourselves staying in one on a business trip or for a wedding sometime in the not-to-distant future.
