City Eyes a New Home for the "IMAX theater" of the late 1800's

The classic doubleheader of Atlanta attractions- Zoo Atlanta and The Cyclorama- may be splitting up. As the 150th anniversary of the Civil War draws near, the City of Atlanta is considering moving the Cyclorama to somewhere a bit more high profile. The panoramic painting of the Battle of Atlanta has been displayed in Grant Park since 1893 and in its current location since 1921.
New sites being discussed include the old World of Coca Cola site next to Underground Atlanta, the Atlanta History Center on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead, or somewhere in or near Centennial Olympic Park. At stake are tourist dollars, as Georgia competes with other major Civil War states like Virginia to have the most people come and remember a time when Americans so disagreed with each other that they just decided to kill each other.
