You'll Have to be 62 or Older to Live in These New Apartments

The NorSouth Companies and the Dekalb Housing Authority are cranking through construction on a new mixed-use, mixed-income green-built senior living community at the intersection of Ashford Dunwody and Johnson Ferry Roads, where future residents may plausibly claim to live in Brookhaven, Chamblee, Dunwoody or Sandy Springs. Hearthside Brookleigh is being built on the site of the old Johnson Ferry East housing projects next to Blackburn Park. It will feature all kinds of amenities that your parents will invite you to share when you visit (hint). Grand opening is slated for January of 2012. Let the great migration of Baby Boomers from single family homes to senior living communities begin! Who is going to buy their old houses, though?
