When we first saw a 3/2 in the Virginia Highlands on Clemont Drive for $699,000, we were dubious. Even though Clemont is a fantastic street in a fantastic location, this price just seemed, well, unrealistic. Then we delved into the details. The house sits on a ridge with views of downtown, which is a plus. It also has a great saltwater pool with a cabana and wet bar that abuts a lovely backyard (hence the realm of an 'oasis'). Overall, the renovation on this 1930's house is just really well done. So, is it worth $699,000 to someone? In this housing market, you never know until the sale hits the tax records.
