An award-winning landscape architect who has worked all over the world said what you've been thinking during all of those hours stuck in traffic on the Downtown Connector: this is pretty ugly. He even boiled it down to a percentage: 87.63%! Our friends over at Architecture Tourist attended a speech by Kinder Baumgartner of SWA given as part of Central Atlanta Progress and the Midtown Alliance's Atlanta Connector Project , an effort to beautify one of the workhorses of the Atlanta road system. There's certainly a lot of work to be done there, but as A.T. points out, a good start has been made with the Folk Art Park on top of the connector on Ralph McGill at Courtland Street.
