A image surfaced today of the proposed design of a striking new bridge to be built where Jimmy Carter Boulevard crosses over Interstate 85 in Norcross. This is another in a series of very positive developments in Gwinnett County over the past couple of years for those interested in the intersection of art and utility and its place under the umbrella concept of 'new urbanism.' The bridge's designer is Atlanta architect Peter Drey, who also designed the 14th Street bridge in Midtown. Stay tuned to Curbed Atlanta for more coverage as this project evolves.
