Though we'll never know if it was a dearth of gay softball or just complacency, Atlanta's reign o'er The Advocate's rankings of America's gayest cities has ended. An admittedly non-scientific methodology has now put Salt Lake City on top, with Orlando #2 (they of the gay softball mecca). While Atlanta is still in the top 10 and continues to get high marks for its gay clubs, businesses and Pride celebration, the glory days have ended, or so it would seem. But never discount Atlanta gay ingenuity, like the Phoenix, we can rise again. [AJC]
