Gatekeepers; Heat Maps: Where to Eat Now; Top Chef Interludes

BUCKHEAD—Across the Eater universe, we met The Gatekeepers, the fine ladies and gentlemen that stand between you and some of your favorite tables. Atlanta's edition featured Rob Ochotnicky of Restaurant Eugene.

MIDTOWN—Former Top Chef Cheftestapants Hugh Acheson and Richard Blais have been popping up across media lately. Hugh was on Georgia Traveler and his Atlanta restaurant, Empire State South, was flash mobbed (slow jam style). Blais has been tweeting up a storm from his cookbook test-kitchen, including a nice shot of dishware for his hotly anticipated restaurant The Spence.

EVERYWHERE—The Eater universe also updated its city-specific Heat Maps. In Atlanta, where to eat right now includes Golden House, Tomo Japanese Restaurant, Cardamom Hill, Fuoco di Napoli, Octopus Bar, Barcelona Wine Bar, STK, and Latitude.
