Today we set off to the gently rolling landscape of Garden Hills, an island of lovely parks and historic homes set in the heart of Buckhead between Peachtree and Piedmont. This attractive neo-Tudor built in 1928 on Rumson Way has much street appeal and recently underwent a $44,000+ price cut. Unfortunately, it may not be enough, ravaged as Garden Hills is by the continued softness of the Atlanta housing market. As we've discussed before, 3 bedroom houses in Atlanta priced above $600k reside in a kind of no-man's land today, no matter how nice they are. And as lovely as this home and it's generous, shady property are, it's probably going to take a very special buyer (read: paying cash) unconcerned with appraisals and re-sale prospects to drop $644,900 on 2340 square feet.
