Sitting on a lonely plot on the east side of downtown, the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center might be one of the city's most under-utilized real estate assets; looks like someone is ready to do something about it. Aside from a smattering of paid attractions that have set up there over the past few years and a middling calendar of cultural events, the site often sits fallow, empty on the inside and out, a vast hole in the fabric of downtown where it gives way to east side neighborhoods like the Old 4th Ward, Inman Park and Cabbagetown. Among the two firms hired to advise is Atlanta's Urban Collage. [AJC]
