There's a new set of construction photos from Atlanta BeltLine Inc. that show real progress on the Eastside Trail. Scheduled to open this spring, the multiuse trail (bike and pedestrian) and linear greenspace will run 2 miles south from the intersection of 10th and Monroe in Midtown. The progress announcement comes on the heels of Salon naming the BeltLine among those projects evincing a "bold urban future" in the U.S. They also invoke the wonderful "emerald necklace" descriptor for the project. Someone needs to design a poster on that theme. [via ATL Urbanist]
