Some folks have crunched the data to determine the effect gay populations have on housing prices. Somewhat unsurprisingly, their presence in places that are tolerant (read: urban) tends to increase prices in a given neighborhood, while more socially-conservative areas experience the opposite. The study's methodology involved voting numbers from Ohio's odious "Defense of Marriage Act" referendum and overlaying it geographically with housing data. Interesting stuff.
