A (Historic) Piece of the Curbed Cup for Under $500k

New, 3 comments

We're going to give Curbed Cup winning 'hood Inman Park one final victory lap today and look at an opportunity to get into Atlanta's Best Neighborhood for under $500,000. Today we examine a 3 bed, 1 bath home with 3000+ square feet of living space circa-1920's (bonus: there's a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment attached). Like the Haas mansion featured earlier in the week, the house had loads of old school architectural features and some crucial updates (kitchen). The single dated bathroom could be a stumbling block for some folks, but as evidenced by the furniture of the current owners, denizens of these older houses are sometimes that special breed that enjoys the romance of a lack of modern creature comforts. While living on Edgewood is not ideal, the location is prime. $497,500 seems a pretty reasonable entry point into a well-kept Inman Park historic home. After all, this neighborhood does possess the coveted (fake) trophy.
