Atlanta Beltline staffers have paid back more than $4,000 that would have otherwise been footed by taxpayers in response to a new policy meant to stamp out questionable use of public funds. It's all in response to the AJC calling out Beltline brass and other staff for (nearly) receiving taxpayer reimbursement for hundreds in alcohol bills, expensive hotel stays, dry-cleaning and even tickets to a Halloween bash — practices that cost the Beltline CEO his job.
