MARTA introduced new General Manager CEO Keith T. Parker in a conference this morning. Parker, who previously served as President and CEO of VIA Transit in San Antonio, acknowledged MARTA's challenging time and said he would be looking at new ways to save money while improving MARTA's image and services--yes, possibly entertaining the idea of privatization. He begins the new post December 10 and yes, he plans to live near a transit stop and take MARTA to work. [My Fox Atlanta]
