So far, naysayers (public poll voters) have outnumbered champions (a smattering of civic/city/business leaders) regarding the proposal to build a new Falcons stadium downtown. But the vocal few are in powerful positions, including the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau president, who writes in an op-ed: "The new stadium will immediately boost Atlanta's $11 billion hospitality industry by adding an iconic asset to our portfolio and serving as a jump-start for additional downtown development."
