Two Atlanta City Council members have proposed legislation that could help spur redevelopment in two intown corridors that basically act as shortcuts to other places — Cheshire Bridge Road and Moreland Avenue. As the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports, the objective is to promote development that summons walking, biking and streetside shopping. That contrasts with a 1999 study that found Cheshire Bridge to be "the best place in Atlanta to buy pornography, view erotic dancers and partake in other adult activities." [ABC]
