Reporting today from Maria Saporta's always dependable chronicling of the city's business power players reveals that the Atlanta business community (corralled by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce) is taking the T-SPLOST vote very seriously. Which should provide some modicum of comfort to those (like us) that fear a combination of voter apathy and self-immolating Tea Party idiocy could derail the crucial legislation. Big business knows better than anyone that the future prosperity of Atlanta depends on upgrading the city's transportation infrastructure. Let's hope corporate Atlanta's money and influence are enough to counter the always-abundant amounts of narrow and short-term thinking available in the ATL. [Saporta Report]
