Though we can think of far worse folks to lend their talents to the 'art' of homebuilding, news that the artist Damien Hirst (perhaps best known for pieces like that pictured) was investing in the construction of 500 'eco-houses' in North Devon in Britain caught us a bit by surprise. But on its face, the project sounds promising, with homes set to include solar panels, wind turbines hidden in the roofs and high-tech insulation. And you know they're going to look cool.
