Is Hines Ward Selling His House the Start of a 3rd Career?

Hines Ward is a football player. And a dancer. Back in August of last year when Curbed Atlanta was in its infancy and keeping a decidedly low profile, we ran a profile of the NFL Pro Bowler / Dancing With the Stars Winner / architecture buff's mansion, which he has now listed for sale for $7,500,000. Reports of the home's location were understandably vague then; we now know it sits among the many other enormous houses on Sandy Springs' picturesque Riverside Drive. We'd agree that Ward achieved the "W Hotel" look he was striving for. And as far as size and scope, the house is standard-issue professional athlete: 12,000+ square feet, 8 bedrooms, 13 baths, two (3) car garages (one with an apartment above, where Hines' Mom currently lives). According to the listing, Ward has been in the house for less than 4 years. Given his recent release from the Steelers, one wonders if this isn't the beginning of a career in real estate for one of Georgia's favorite Bulldogs. If Vanilla Ice can do it, why can't Hines Ward?
