Kennesaw State University has announced a major expansion to its art museum, giving the northwest ‘burbs $3 million more in cultural bragging rights. The slick new space is to be designed by the firm of Stanley Beaman & Sears, who was also responsible for the Georgia Museum of Art in Athens. Art’s on something of a roll at the Kennesaw campus given that the current building was only completed five years ago. Hopefully, the 9,200 square feet addition will bring more awareness to an underrated collection that includes works by heavyweights such as Renoir and Chagall. Those guys are worth the drive, right?
