We Must Admit: This Ginormous Roswell Estate is Quite Lovely

New, 4 comments

This one's been a bit of a stumper for us. We were initially attracted to it by the silly rental price: some $17,500 per month. Then we got into the broker babble and saw some of the specs (10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms), which got us sharpening our knives, ready to eviscerate another achievement in epic ostentation (the phrase "sky lounge & ballroom that can showcase 10 exotic cars or hundreds of guests" just screamed tasteless). But then we got into the pictures and were shocked/disappointed/pleasantly surprised to see a very tasteful house, in spite of its absurd size. Bill Harrison designed it and we gotta say it's rather classy, save for the weird jacuzzi/fountain thing, which looks like it belongs in the Hong Kong Hilton, not a luxe, traditional estate in Roswell. Anyway, if you're looking for a house that looks like a high-end townhome complex with enough fine marble, wood and stone to build 4 or 5 individual McMansions, look no further.
