Over the last several weeks, we've heard somewhat eyebrow-raising stories of bold pricing and bidding wars over in Morningside and Virginia Highland; today our friends at Zillow have helpfully provided an example of the return of the good old days. This house in Morningside sold for $631,000 less than 5 years ago. Based on the flurry of name-dropping in the broker babble (Dacor, Subzero, Fisher and Paykel, Waterworks), we're guessing the current owners have put some money into the place. But does that justify a $1,100,000 price tag now? The lot is amazing/gorgeous (though we don't know if we'd call .58 acres "estate size"), and the 4 bed, 3 bath house of 3,650 square feet is certainly nice. But it's surrounded by places far less expensive. Then again, the neighborhood and schools are about the best Atlanta has to offer. Of course in the end, it's all about what a buyer is willing to pay. Anyone care to predict where this house will trade?
