Though it's home to several Fortune 1000 corporate HQ and is getting surprisingly dense and walk-able (for Atlanta, anyway) in the Perimeter Center area, we prefer to maintain memories of Dunwoody as a kind of Mayberry-ish place. Where parents move to raise families, and kids play kickball in cul-de-sacs absent of crack vials and child predators. Stories like this one, detailing the intricacies of a debate about whether to build a sidewalk, help perpetuate those memories. $30,000 is certainly a lot of money, but in the world of government (even small town government), it's really not. We'd say go for it, Dunwoody- Doraville will get you back. What are neighbors for? [Reporter Newspapers]
