Raves for the Lawrence; Pizza Wars Heat Up

BUCKHEAD— The folks behind Pizza Antico are suing four month-old rival pizzeria Fuoco di Napoli in Buckhead for intellectual property infringement. The details are unclear at this point, but it may have to due with the fact that its former chef Enrico Liberato left to open Fuoco. In unrelated bad luck, Liberato was later arrested for aggravated assault and marijuana possession and may or may not have been deported.

COMING ATTRACTIONSBruce Logue the former chef at four star La Pietra Cucina is planning a casual Italian-American restaurant to open later this year. He says it's inspired by Torrisi Italian Specialties and Parm up in New York.


BUCKHEAD— Two decade old sports bar Cheyenne Grill is now Whitehall Tavern. There are still plenty of flat screen TVs, but now there are expanded menu offerings and Skeeball, Pitfall and Pac-Man for the kids, a dog-friendly patio for neighborhood folk and a meet-up group that goes running and plays tennis and volleyball nearby.

MIDTOWNThe Lawrence opened up in Midtown a few weeks ago, and the early response is overwhelmingly positive.
