Estate homes in Atlanta are usually associated with Buckhead or the suburbs. In fact, if queried on the in-town neighborhood least likely to contain a million dollar-plus estate home, we'd bet Grant Park would be in some respondents' top 5. But lo and behold, a Zillow search turned up this specimen just 4 blocks east of Zoo Atlanta and the park's southeast boundary. The home itself is an interesting combination restored period details (it was originally constructed in 1870) surrounded by traditional decor and more contemporary styles and comforts. Whatever the grand design scheme, the place was clearly set up to entertain, and you (and your guests) get a lot for the list price of $1,195,000. Good luck finding a comp in the neighborhood, though.
