Project Renaissance Will Proceed in Dunwoody

It looks like Dunwoody's Project Renaissance is a "go," as a vote to pull the city's option to buy the land failed at last night's City Council meeting. The city received a couple of proposals for the development of the former Emory Hospital site near the Georgetown Shopping Center, and at least one of them is apparently viable, since the city's $100,000 earnest money will now go 'hard' toward the acquisition of the land. A mixed-use paradise of parks, commercial and residential is planned for the 35-acre parcel on North Shallowford Road. Farewell, PVC farm. [Heneghan’s Dunwoody Blog / Reporter Newspapers]
