NIMBY's Come Out Against GA 400 Trail

New, 5 comments

People generally love the concept of the bike/pedestrian trails planned for GA 400 corridor in Buckhead, just not a vocal group of homeowners who live along the trails' path. As Livable Buckhead begins its public outreach and consensus-building campaign for the trails that will connect to the Atlanta BeltLine, they are encountering resistance by folks concerned that the trails will serve as a buffet line for criminals targeting their homes and children, turn their streets into parking lots for walkers and gawkers, remove precious trees and scare away wild life. We hear echoes of the resistance to trails built connecting The BeltLine to Tanyard Creek Park. Any readers out there than speak to how those turned out for the neighborhood? [Reporter Newspapers]
