The salvation of Howard Finster's Paradise Gardens has been in progress for a couple of years now. But the idiosyncratic treasure trove of southern folk art now seems officially saved, and there's going to be a celebration heralding the grand opening of the restored Paradise Gardens this weekend called Finster Fest, with Patterson Hood of the Drive By Truckers headlining the entertainment.
