An Unusually Tasteful Mediterranean Villa at the Crossroads of Three Great 'Hoods

New, 6 comments

Though there's no shortage of Mediterranean-style homes to be had in Atlanta, the truly tasteful one seems like somewhat of a rarity. Which made discovering "Villa Mira Flores" such a tasty Monday treat. Located at the intersection of three desirable east side 'hoods (Morningside / Lenox Park - Virginia Highland - Druid Hills) and perched atop a gorgeous, elevated lot with tons of foliage on the appropriately named Villa Drive, the house offers the latest in modern home luxury amid beautifully-maintained period details. The house was originally built in 1925 and with exceptional bones- there's no other way this place looks this good or smoothly updated otherwise. Though there's only 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, there's a very roomy total of 3400 square feet, which you can see has been allocated to grand living spaces, a sumptuous master suite and a formal study. The loveliness of the house is matched if not eclipsed by the grounds...the abundant sunlight the hilltop lot enjoys has clearly done the landscape well, and makes for a pool scene worthy of a boutique hotel in Tuscany. Ask is $1,399,000...certainly not cheap, but the value would appear to be there.
